Removal of Cat Converter -->straight pipe. Pros and Cons?

Hey guys, i saw this thing advertised on ebay called a High Flow Racing pipe for the Maxima. I'm guessing it's a replacement of the catalytic converter. I'm just wondering if you guys think this is worth it, if the horsepower boost is there etc.... I don't really care about emissions in my area for the moment. Also is this bad for the car in any way. If not i was thinking of going with the random tech high flow cat converter but this seems a little more interesting excluding the emissions part. Thanks for the help

If you get pulled over, it takes about 2 seconds for a cop to prove you have an illegal exhaust unless you gut a stock cat and run the test pipe through it.

Also, depending on what year you have, you have to figure what you want to do with the 02 sensor for the cat-- Im not sure if the CEL will trip if you simply disconnect/remove the cat o2 sensor.
