how much "preload" should i put on my front strut tower bar??

any ideas? i noticed that my car steers staighter now..might also be an alignment thing, but any performance tip is welcomed.

all of it.

the FSTB should be installed when the vehicle and it's suspension is fully loaded. Don't install it if you have one or both side jacked up.

You shouldn't preload the FSTB itself at all. Set it on loosely and then tighten it down from there.
