Oxygen sensor

My engine check light came on a while ago, so i took it to the dealer and they told me one of my 3 oxygen sensors was bad. I have a PR CAI and asked if that could've added to the problem, and the lady at the counter said it may make the O2 sensors deteriorate faster.
Oh also has anyone tried that Monster Flow Filter with the CAI? Supposedly it's supposed to give you much better gains in power and it it isn't oil based like the K&N one. They say the oil can coat your O2 sensors over time and cause them to give you inacurate readings.

Nothing against women, but a friend of mine worked at a nissan dealership in high school behind the counter, and she didnt even know how to change a tire. She just took payments and made appointments. Were you at the service counter or parts dept?

yea, i was at the service counter.. she said she had asked the guy working on my car and she relayed the message to me. I dunno, even the mechanic may know nothing about modded max's since especially cuz most people who bring their cars to a nissan dealer in boring Binghamton NY are 40+ yr. old men with 2 kids. 20 yr old kids with nice modded max's are probably very rare up here.
