Letting off the gas rough shifting?

OK guys, looking for your experience here, when I let off the accelerator on my 99 GLE (auto), it feels like I'm getting a rough shift into overdrive or something. Any ideas? Just got it used from a decent respected used dealership here in Austin. Take it my first step is to check tranny fluid?
