Springs and Struts?

Springs and Struts?

I'm shopping around for springs and i remember reading ( maybe it was on custommaxima.com) that if u replace the stock springs u hvae to do the struts also? is this ture? and what brand of springs do u guys think i should go with

I'm actually pretty sick of the whole "do a search thing" but this was actually really funny...

altezzamikegtr, most people usually change their struts when they change the springs. Look at the FAQ thread in this 4th gen forum for details

It's a good idea to replace your struts when you replace springs for two reasons:

1. Depending on how long you've had your stock ones, they may already be on the way out. So why do the job of removing them twice?

2. Most springs (from my experience) don't ride well with stock shocks. If you are riding lower you'll want a stiffer shock to avoid bottoming out ... the springs are sometimes too soft so the shock helps absorb some of that.
