Mmmm, Warpspeed!

I had my mandrel bent y-pipe installed today. I was going to do it myself but(insert excuse here). My first impression after leaving the muffler shop was less then stellar. I guess I was thinking there would be a big bottom end improvement. There was some but it wasn't very big. Then I put the hammer down and found out where my money went! Put a big smile on my face. Thanks Warpspeed! I'd definately recommend this mod. I'm just sorry I didn't do it sooner!

Within the next couple hundred miles it will feel like more gains too. Reset your ECU to make it happen a little faster.

Thats they way I was with my Warpspeed Y right after I instaled it. I drove off and was dissapointed, but then I was pulling onto the highway and gunned it and found where it gave me all the gains. I love warpspeed, great company. Now I just need to get my Test pipe and b-pipe from them. Take Care

I'm all stock otherwise so the sound difference was minimal. It does give the car a deeper growl at WOT. Very pleasing. I'm sure it will get a little louder when I get a real intake and Apexi WS installed.

I don't know. Not to doubt the great Sudz or anything but I really think this ECU reset after a Y-pipe purchase thing is an incorrect belief around here. Just like resetting the ECU after any new mod is uneccesary, so is it after installing a Y-pipe. What's the argument for it anyway?

The ECU has to change caracteristics depending on air flow in the engine to benefit from its parts. Over time, the ECU will adjust itself to the new flow pattern. Resetting it just clears its memory and it will have to relearn everything anyway. It still takes the same about of time.
