I just wanted to ask everyone what they think about the cattman catback system. If anyone has it on their max, tell us what you think.

I was excited when i heard they were coming out with a system that would beat out all competitors prices but was a little dissapointed when i checked their site and if you want the complete kit it is $600 which is the same as stillens and Greddy.. maybe a touch pricier. When i looked at the pic of the exhaust i was unimpressed with the way it looked. the greddy and stillen mufflers look alot better. The budget exhaust system i think is better looking and will prob. be half the amount. i am opting for the Apex'iWS which has been highly praised and is ~$450 for the catback. Anyways, now that i got that out, i want to say that cattman is a great company and am hoping there is more to this catback system. maybe if someone dynoed the results of this and it gave the best gains and sound, i would support their new system and buy one. For now i am keeping an eye on it to see what will happen.

p.s. I know the catback for the 97-99 isn't out yet. just the 00-02 system

 

do these have fitment problems too?
how heavy are they?
I don't want to loose my low end

Hey, i have been searching for weeks now on teh best exhaust for a 1997 Maxima. I also have a 5 speed and i have wanted exhausr for quite a while. However, i have heard many responses. If you get a y-pipe, i have heard that Cattman is just VERY loud, some people couldnt handle it. I am getting a warspeed y-pipe, and i am looking for an exhaust that will not be incredibly loud to where i cant hear myself talk inside the cabin, but one that is noticeable when i am driving, or sitting still. I was going to go with Apexi, because many people have priased it, and for about $450, that plus warpspeed y-pipe will cost alsmost as much as just a stilln, greddy, or cattman exhaust. If anyone can give any thoughts on what to get, i would appreciate it. I have been also looking for sound clips, so if anyone knows of where to get them, or has any of their setup, i would appreciate if they could post them, or email them to me at OMAG321@aol.com. I really appreciate any answers anyone may have, thank you

thats a price that is expected from a company like cattman........the muffler looks like a knockoff of a tanabe racing medalion.
