does anyone know at what milage you should change the timing chain?

I don't think that the timing chain ever has to be replaced.

In general, people do not 'change' timing chains as regular maintenace. Timing belts, yes, but not chains.

I was talking to a friend at Thanksgiving who just blew the motor in his Explorer at 134k because the timing chain snapped. So, I don't know, I guess you just drive your car till the chain snaps? Seems kind of strange to me... but the inner workings of combustion engines are not my expertise.

There is no scheduled replacement interval for the timing chain. You should replace it if it ever becomes loose and noisy. Most Maximas never need a replacement chain, even with high mileage.
