There seemed to only be on thread about this, and i think it was kevin who said that

the S-AFC will modify the mass air flow signal going to your ECU. This will allow you to lean or enrich the fuel to your desired a/f ratio. It won't work too well with N/A cars
My bro just got one for his Integra and he said a guy got 10hp to the wheels with one of these in his teg. Also someone mentioed a Field (i think thats what it was) thing that was simmilar but better. Anyway- is there any need for these on the max. There isnt much talk about them here

My friend had a S-AFC...he didn't know what he was doing with it and his car ran real bad. Ended up running super lean and frying his spark plugs and basically messing up his car. I would only get one of these if you know what your doing...also this works great if you can play with the settings and tune with Dyno.

Thats what i was planing on doing. I know a guy with a dyno so id spend anhour or so tuning it. If i did that- would it be worth the 200+ dollars for one?

Im not sure, but I think you'd need more then 1 hour to tune. One further reason I did not get one is you cannot save settings. For example I would want one setting for N/A and another for Nitrous. this can't be done...not sure why they wouldn't have included this feature, but hey. It will save your one setting (not sure if your car's battery dies what happens) so if your not using nitrous it might be worth the time. Proper management could yeild high HP however you need to take into account the computer +-$200 and the dyno time when you figure out if its worth it or not.

What kind of numbers are we talking. With two hours of dyno tuning lets say. Closer to 5whp, 10?20?

Hey guys, there is a ton of threads here on this subject, personally I think it could be over kill on the Maximas that are not turo/Supercharged. Supraforums.com

I personally am looking at the HKS Super AFR or The VPC for my supra. The HKS Super AFR has more adjustment points and is about same price. One is going on my Supra. Heres the link to the HKS Stuff

just passing through....as far as I know the Feilds is superior it can save info and you can custom tailor three modes(ie- crusing, streetracing, trackracing). plus it has 1/4th mile timer and other little bonuses here and there....
