i need help!!!!!

my backup lights do not go on when i put the car in reverse... i have a 96 gxe standard trans. i checked the fuse but it was not blown...i changed my reverse lights to piaa xtreme white 1156. i didn't have any problems for about a month but then my bro asked to borrow my car and now the reverse lights don't work...i NEED HELP PLZ!!!!
