Stock struts are dead
My 95 has about 102k miles on it so far. The OEM struts are obvioulsly dead. Would it cost more and would it be worth the money to replace them with Tockiko aftermarket ones instead of new OEM models? I'm gonna be selling the car next year, but this cant really wait. Also, some price numbers would be helpful too.
Tokico's vs. OEM
- I haven't heard too many great things about the Tokico shocks. Some people have complained that they break within 6 months. That is pretty pathetic, especially if your stockers have lasted for so long. If you're selling the car next year and the performance of the OEM shocks is all you need, stick with them. That's what I would do.
- If you want higher performance, Koni's are the way to go. However, they require having the original housing "gutted" to contain the new aftermarket shocks. The lifetime warranty they come with is extremely good, though, and may help to sell the car - if the buyer is interested in performance. Good luck.

Tokicos aint that bad
The Tokicos aren't that bad at all. They're definitely better than stock shocks...you can get them for $300 at Shox.com. The people who blow them here prob drive pretty hard on them. If you have stock springs then you definitely won't blow them. They also have a lifetime warranty as well,

How much did the Konis cost ya? Where'd u get them? The only thing bout them, is that I heard the install is tough, and shops will charge more, or even mess things up.

tokicos wont last over time. not in everyday potholes, freeway driving. thats why im going with konis. yeah the tokicos are 300, and they got a lifetime warranty. BUT i rather get the konis, and not have to worry about changing them later on. i was about to get tokicos cuz i was told the same thing. but then i thought. im going to have to replace them all the time? hell nahh..i dont need that monkey on my back. konis got a lifetime warranty too, most likely i wont have to use it
