Indigo Gauges.. Better Gas Mileage..?

I just installed reverse indigo gauges.. and everything was working fine.. I made sure I cut around the needles of the speedo.. tech.. and temp.. gauges.. the gas gauge seemed to fit nicely so I left it alone.. of course after the installation was complete I went for a nice road trip.. I left with a full tank of gas.. came home and I noticed everything seemed to work fine.. but since then I put 160miles to a ¼ tank of gas.. that’s the best mileage ever for me. But I really think not.. so now I gotta go through opening the whole cluster again.. this sucked..

sorry to hear that. The gas needle will move as you're working on it so I would fill the tank up again before I redid the gauge overlay. Then, after you double sided tape the gauge overlay down, make sure the needle is at the full mark. Similar thing happened to me. Good luck.

I opened mine about 6 times now, my rpm dosent light. It has a bad contact, so I fix it and then It goes out a week latter.

True, but the 4th gen fuel light has been known to come on when you're ALMOST out. It would suck if you were driving in the middle of nowhere and the light came on.

Also, not advisable to run low because the fuel in your gas tank actually cools your fuel pump. Fried fuel pump + middle on nowhere = no gas to engine +

i just installed my reverse indiglo guages a few weeks ago and my RPM guage sticks alot, and dunno if my speedometer is reading perfect either, and the gas light hole isnt there on this set of guages, should i punch one out with a small hole puncher?? would that mess up the guage? does it need the entire guage to complete the circuit or can i make a lil hole? my fuel light sumtimes now turns on when i have a 1/8 tank left, cuz i can see it VERY LIGHTLY thru the guage but it has to be real dark in my car and i gotta look REAL close..its wierd, gotta open it up and adjust and stick them down better...i didnt think they would be such a pain
