Intake Question

Intake Question

Hey all,
I bought a new air filter today, one that looks like this..

Now i have a question, Do i just replace it with my existing filter and put it back into the black casing or do i take the black casing of? thanks guys.

Take out the whole black box. that is the stock intake. replace it with that one.

Ok great.

what about the stock pipeing from obove the grill that went into the black box? Do i totaly remove all of that too?

That is your choice. I suggest leaving it there as it will support the intake and give as much air as possible to it as well. BTW, you did get the adapter plate, right?

you can remove the pipe, but you will lose your low end power

Yep, got the adapter for 10 bucks
the intake makes a low growl sound now

Yeah I love that sound. Intimidates Civics but embarrases me in front of V8 Muscle.

Please explain to me how removing the front intake scoop will make you lose low end power?

the adaptor already comes with that "intake kit" i had it ..it sucked so i sold it to my buddy with a pathfinder ( you lost power with it)
