Noise in clutch ( I think) please help!!

I have searched but the post were only half right.
So I will just ask.

I have a 96 5 speed with 98,000 miles

I have a noise coming from the front of the car ( motor mainly)
Sounds like my valves are pinging, but when I push the clutch in
the sound goes away.
So the noise is only there when the clutch is realesed in any gear.
Some people tell me it is the clutch bearing?
Some people tell me it is the tranny bearing?
The clutch was replaced with a ACT clutch about 6 months ago.
thanks for any help

Thats weird, when does the clutch do that? My car does the same thing also, and when you press the clutch it goes away but it only happens sometimes.

But i don't think you should worry, i've heard other maximas that do the same thing and they are fine.

no it happens all the time. It only goes away when the clutch is
pushed in.
I think it is the clutch bearing and if so I will have it replaced.
Just want to make sure it is not the tranny bearing
