5 Speed Conversion

I was curious about how much a 5 speed conversion would run me? I am getting sick of my autocrapic transmeesh (said in a portuguese accent).

Depends on how lucky you get at the junkyard, and if you get everything you need in one trip so you aren't being nickel&dimed for other bits in multiple trips. Depends on how much stuff ur buying new vs used. Depends on if the junkyard is a u-pull-it or a computerised off-the-shelf deal.

I'm sure you can do the swap for somewhere between 500 and 2500. It all depends.

$500 for the tranny, $300+ for the rest of the parts you need, $345 for the ACT clutch. Install it yourself, labor on something like that will more than double your cost.

turn around and sell your stock auto tranny for 400$ and your are well under a 1,000$ for everything unless you get rammed for the labor charges.

where can i sell my auto trans? and can't i sell all the other parts as well? trans mount, drive shafts, etc. that came with my auto? who owuld buy them junkyard? maybe when i go to junkyard to buy manual parts we can cut a deal to give them our parts for like half or 3/4 the price they were gonna charge us, especially since auto is supposed to be more expensive than 5 speed.....
