OEM dust boots vs KYB AGX dust boots

OEM dust boots vs KYB AGX dust boots
any thoughts on which is better for KYB AGX shocks? I've read that the one plus to the kyb is that the bump stop is the right size for the the shock.
I think the oem boots are about 100 for the set. How much are the KYB.
Also I was wondering, someone posted that you need 6 isolation sleeves for your springs. I thought you only wrap the top of the springs...so then you only need 4

No such thing as a KYB boot...
KYB is not offering dust boots for AGX struts until 2003. At least for the '95 model year. I don't know about other years. At least that is what the KYB tech desk told me.
I bought KYB strut and shock mounts from tirerack.com and oem dust boots from Courtesy Nissan.
Rear: 54050-38U02 $12.14 each
Front: 55240-0M315 $23.81 each
As far as the sleeves are concerned, reuse your old ones as long as they are not worn to the point you are getting metal to metal contact.
The bottom of the springs have a small sleeve that slides over the end of the spring. The top of the springs have larger sleeves (if that's what they are called) that are like rubber cushions.
I'm not sure where these additional sleeves that you are refferring to are located. I installed my rear AGX's today and will do the fronts tomorrow. I guess I'll find out then whether or not there are additional sleeves.

I've got the KYB dust boots that are available from cattman. Anyway, these are a much more pliable material then the OEM ones, and I dont think they will rot out as fast. The bumpstops are smaller, so they probably are the correct minimum size the KYB struts need.

KYB boot price?
Do you remember what the price was on the KYB boots? Just curious.
Why would KYB tell me they didn't make boots for this application?!?!
I must have caught somebody that was ready to go on their smoke break. Bastards.

I got my KYB Dust boots from Cattman for $40, but they were on special at the time. I think he usually sells them for $60 or so.
Here's a picture of them.
I think they'll hold up better than the OEM dustboots. When I took mine off at 48k they were shot.
