Who was it? Don't do business with anyone unreputable.

MO's are like cash.

Just write it off...

Report it to ebay first of all, and you should have paid by paypal. How are his ebay Feedbacks?

god that sucks

i'm sorry man...i'm ready to buy these 2k2 rims from this guy on this forum but before i do, i'm going to contact him by phone, get all info from him, ask around about him and all before i pay for them cause u can't trust anybody anymore. I am selling my rims and I would never NOT send what i promised. They may be a little more beat up than expected but you will get them ASAP....if you have any info on him, run a check on google about "stop scam" or something. There is ALWAYS a way to get info on someone, ip address, whatever, contact ebay personnell and ask for his ip address and u can locate atleast the city he is from...and from there, it's up to you...but don't give up...in this age of technology, you can track anyone down if you put your mind to it....

Do you have copies of everything, ie, MO, the request for goods, sales agreement, what ever?
If you mailed him a MO, does it not become mail fraud? Is so, it's now a federal case, talk to the post master for more info.
Try to get more info on the person, full name, address (at least you have a mailing address), etc.

You mailed it to him, so you have his address. Go to his house and rip him a new one.

But really, you should go back to where you bought you MO and ask for the procedures when this type of thing happens. Also search the net for info.

If you don't purchase through e-Bay, then you have no protection. It's kind-a like buying tools from your neighbor and going to the local hardware store to replace them when they break.

If you don't purchase through e-Bay or Paypal, neither of them gets paid, so they probably won't be too helpful...

This goes for anything on e-Bay...

If you can find him, take him to small claims. But chances are, he's long gone.

Ask your postmaster......

Defintiely mail/wire fraud. If not and if it's worth it, take him to small claims court. Get your money back and then beat him senseless.

Here is my Suggestion and thoughts

If you purchase out of e-bay, do not call ebay. That is a no no to do.

If you can find his old i.d on e-bay you can try searcing out that way...find his feedback and history form and e-mail the other person he did a transaction with to find his address.

If you have a copy of the money order, find his name and search the 411 directories

I am sure if this is fraud, he would not have moved just to screw you on a set of rims. NOt enough incentives.

Screw small claims, have another .org memeber retrive your rims for you....for a small fee

ANyway, that really sucks but remember..buyer beware. I pay a little more for .org members that have purchased from each other before.

Thanks,

K.

Please don't pay with personal check...

Bad news for both parties...

I know from experience.

Always use a reputable payment service.

if i'm not mistaken, you are not allowed to cancel your credit card payment if you paid through PayPal, you have to go through the paypal system

call your credit card company and dispute the charge, paypal can't do squat about it, nor will they do anything to your account because of it.

u are screwed

IMHO the best way to buy an item is paypal, or credit card.. If i can't do that i want someone to COD the item and i'll pay the shipping and COD fee upfront. if they won't do any of that well screw them.. I will always offer COD to people I sell to.

Why did Roabeat screw u all? Was it just plain greed and money, or did he get all political about bahrain and afghanistan.

It owuld be a pity if someone send an anthrax letter to the same addy and the money order - in both cases.
