Did I install my Eibachs upside down? Please respond!!!

ok, I got a set of used Eibachs and installed them last night. The stamping says 12/98, so thats how old the spring is. The rear ones are done correctly because the more closely spaced coils went on top.

But for the front, I installed them with the Eibach logo upside down, because it sat better on the perch that way. Are the front ones progressive wound too? If so, then how come it looks the same from top to bottom? I thought the progressively wound springs have more closely spaced coils on top.

I tried to get some info from searching for 2 hours now, but couldnt come up with anything....

I swear that couple years ago, this one guy had the eibachs and he installed the fronts with the lettering upside down, and that was the correct method....

plz help !!!!!

I hate to say it, but if I remeber correctly the Spring shouldn't be upside down. If you want to check for you. Send me an e-mail and I when I get home from work I'll check my car. Take care!

I did my H&R's the wrong way at first too with the lettering upside down. The H&R's at least were very close to identical either way with no obvious tightly spaced coils up front. But I did rip em out and reverse em so the logo is rightside up. That's the hard way to learn.... Dunno... check what other people have done or maybe call/email Eibach/manufacturer..

Your Eibach spring shouldn't be upside down. I looked yesterday when I was installing my new rims on, and they were righside up. Hope this helps!

Oh damn!!! but you know what? My eibachs ride really smooth man.. It doesnt feel any harsher than my stock SE setup..
I'm almost conviced that Eibach messed up and painted the logo upside down..

Here's my reasoning: If I indeed put the springs upside down, then how come it sits better on the perch? I tried the other way, but it does not sit as good... so I'm thinking the eibachs I have came from a batch of springs with upside down letterings...

Honestly if the car feels good leave it. I wouldn't go messing with it if it was OK.
