97 Max (Auto) VS. 97 328is (5sp)
I dont know but you guys fill me in on how a car that is heavier (328is) with the same power as the Max can be soooooooo much quicker. Simple math. its not possible.
The max getting smoked......... I dont think so.
Have a race where you are both rolling and then see what you can see. I think you wil be very surprised about how close that contest will actually be.

I'm talking straight line offcourse

By the way guys, i have raced one but I only had an intake and cat-back, the only reason i beat him was driver ability if I had been driving the Bimmer I would have gotten beat by about 1/2 car length at the most, however now that I have the y-pipe I know I would beat him by at least a car length. I say this because I beat a Acura CL type S to 60 on the track, and they run 6.4 and also beat a 225HP Audi TT to 60 and they run 6.2 so my guesstamite 0-60 time in my car is something like 6.1 or 6.2
Also one more thing, the guy that had the 328 who was a **** in the first place got smoked by and then bought a 97 Max
too bad for him he should have got a 5spd

Both cars have the same HP and Torue:
190HP and 205 torque.

First race: we did a rolling start from about 20 and i jumped out infront and he was on my tail dead even.
second race: we started from about 35 and he got me by a car length.
I think he can get me by 1/2 - 3/4 car lenght just by analyzing these 2 races.
Even with the result, he was surprised that max's can do what they do. He also said he was driving "very good" during the races. OH and he didnt "SMOKE" me.
!!Now i dont wanna throw out excuses but i have 1 that might have dramatically affected these races. My knock sensor is bad, code 0304. Do you guys think that was a big factor in the races or not?

) You will never catch up. That's where his advantage lies. My guess is at least 2 or 3 car lengths he will have on you..and the distance will become greater and greater as the speed increases.....and just for the record that's getting smoked in my book.
