brakes

how many people think that the 4 gen brake systems are crazy. this is for the people who have actually taken the brakes apart and replaced the calipers (sp?) and the pads.

whats up with the pins holding the tops of the pads and the metal pieces that the pads travel on. kind of frustrating for my first time.

There's a bunch of shims and clips, but everything is pretty straightforward.

I think changing the pads in a 4th gen is one of the easiest ways that I have seen on a car. It takes me longer to jack and support the car than it does to swap pads. The calipers themselves are very straightforward as well. I don't see anything weird about them.
