Boost Sensor?

Boost Sensor?
I was doing a little cleaning in my engine today and I came across a small sensor just dangling in between the spark plug cover and my battery. It says "BOOST SENSOR" on it, but it looks like it should be connected to something.
Right now, it's just dangling in the middle of my engine. Where is it supposed to be connected? I removed the "snorkel" because I have the Stillen Intake now, so is that where it belongs? What should I do with it?
Could this be the reason that my CEL has been on for the past few weeks throwing code 0505?
Thanks,
-Nick

The Boost Sensor Is Hooked to a Vacum Hose which my auto shop teacher tells me those are mostly on turbos and has something to do with the air/fuel. also a 0505 means your car is running fine...there is nothing wrong with it to turn the light off reset the ECU.

I've reset the ECU numerous times and the light keeps coming on throwing the 0505 code. I finally gave up and just left the light be, hoping it would go off on it's own. It's almost been a month and the light is still on.
What should I do with the boost sensor now? It's just dangling in my engine bay...where can I hook it?

code 0505 is the computer saying "no code", that is, your car is running fine. it should always throw that code, unless the computer has tripped, and detected a problem. when i installed my intake, i simply attached the boost sensor to the breather hose with a zip tie. it looks very clean, and its very secure.

when i had my JWT intake i just wrapeed the boost sensor around wires near the spark plugs and just left it there it didnt hurt anything... but about ur 0505 code i cant help you there it shouldnt turn on ur check engine light ...hmmm thats odd

Is that sensor electrically plugged in? It should be. The Boost Sensor also reads Manifold Absolute pressure as well as Atmospheric pressure depending on what the ECU tells the selonoid valve which switches between these two "Pressures" to read. This sensor must be able to tell the ECU if your at a high altitude so it may adjust the air/fuel ratio. Thats the main purpose of it.
MaximaVQ97 Go tell your shop teacher that Nissan never made a Turbo for our cars, why would they put this sensor on EVERY Maxima produced? Doesn't make sense does it. It serves two purposes, the Haynes manual explains very clearly what that sensor does.
