Corrosion on my engine

I popped the hood of my max and saw that there was some corrosion on the bottom of my engine. What’s the best way to get it off of there?

If you mean that white colored aluminum oxidation... don't worry about it. Aluminum oxide actually protects the bast metal. There won't be any damage for about 700 years to the block.

Dude, the corrosion on my engine is not white, it is more of a red rust color, i took some 120 grit sand paper to it and it took it off but there is still more. i want to know if there is an easyer way to get all that crap off of there.

Where on the engine? Head/block/oil pan?

Just keep in mind that if you buff rust off of steel/iron, your gonna want to coat it with something real soon or the rust will come back worse. If it's reddish it's got to be good ol' iron oxide on something steel I would think...

Painting a block with the engine still in the car would be a major pain in the a$$.
