16" wheels on Maxima

Anyone using 16" wheels on their 4th gen Maxima besides the factory ones? What size tires are you using? Anyone have pics? I have a 95 Maxima, currently have 17" wheels, possibly looking at some 16's. Wondering how they will look and perform. The one's I'm looking at are 7.5" wide. I'm not looking for super high performance or anything, but somewhat of an improvement over the factory 15's. Any help is appreciated, thanx.

why do you want to go back to 16s? most people here would stay with 17s or even go up to 18s. i'm on the stock 16 SE rims...

Just to possibly change my wheels, something different. I would have prefered 17's, but saw some nice looking 16's at a good price. I'm not really in need of super high performance. I drive my car 'normal'. Plus, it might improve the ride quality a bit over the 17's. I just wanted to see if anyone had 16's with different size tires from the factory ones, a bit lower profile.

Re: 16" wheels on Maxima

I currently have 16x7 Konig Wildcards on my 96 SE, but I think that I'm going to go to 300ZX rims (16x7.5). I want to keep them at 16 for the less expensive tires, and bump absorbtion, while able to clear larger rotors (My original plan was to get a 300ZX brake kit, but the Fastbrakes kit became available).

I forget if the pics are public or not, but you should be able to see the Konigs at photos.yahoo.com/philp0e (yes, a zero). I hope to go to the polished 300ZX rims in the other album. That leaves 2 painted sets + the wildcards for sale if interested.

Here's a pic of my 16X7.5 Kosei K1s. I love the look especially with my Sumitomo HTR Z 225/50s. With a good drop, 16s actually look pretty good. I use to have 17s, but I wanted more performance (lighter rims) and a better ride.

If my sig link works you can see my OEM S14 rims w/225/50/16s.

It may seem a bit strange to you guys to see a Max/I30 riding on them but down here even the current A33s still have these wheels fitted as standard equipment.

If the link doesn't work then blame Kevin. I get no love in the test forum.
