BTW, a knock sensor will have no affect either way on the tranny.

the Knock sensor listens (I don't know how the hell) for knocking/pinging noise in your engine. When it detects this it slows timing in your engine therefore causing it to lose some low-end power. The knock sensor is about $157 at the dealer and i highly suggest doing it yourself since they asked me for about $300 for labor. I told them to stick their labor up their a$@ and to just order the part. when the KS arrived it took about 25 minutes and 500+ scratches on my hands the damn thing is about a mile down your engine somewhere. theirs a thread goin around with pics and directions i'm usually too lazy to give you all the directions but you'll need about a 14 inch extension for your ratchet. a little brother with skinny arms might do the trick too!!
