coil overs or springs??

I am looking in to getting rid of the gap between the wheel and the wheel well, i am riding on 17s right now and have a stillen aero kit for my 96. so i am looking to drop it somewhere around two inches. i live in houston so i dont have to worry about the snow and raising it in the winter. now should i get coilovers or springs? what brand and where can i purchase them? and what brand and stiffness do you recomend i get for shocks?

Thanx

it depends on the ride quality u want in ur car coilovers tend to give a rough ride but lowering springs can ride pretty much the same as stock. i had apex springs then went to ground controls w/ koni's.

i want as close to stock as possible. now that i have decided on springs do you think that a 1.5 inch drop is enough to elimanite the wheel well gap? how much do you have yours droped in the pic?(we have the exact same car, just for you information) and what brand of shocks do you recomend?
