Sensor in 95 Airbox

Hey All,
Last week on my 99 Maxima I put on an Adaper Plate to fit a Cone Filter on. My friend wanted to do the same to his, but he ran into a problem. He has a 96 Maxima and in the lid on his airbox there is a sensor of some sort. Im at work so I couldnt verify what it was. I was thinking it is a Air Temp sensor. Anybody out there know??

Yeah, it's the air temp sensor. If you cant get it installed at the end of the filter, just ty-wrap it so it's near the air filter. Make sure you hook the sensor up or you'll get the cel

just make sure he plugs it back in to where it was, so the check engine light goes off, it is kinda useless
