How Can I Make 20" Rims Fit on a 1997?

What is the correct tire sizes and offset, or anything else for that matter, so i can put 20's on my car without rubbing?? I don't want to roll back or cut my fenders. Also, will i be able to drop it at all or no? I ONLY WANT TO HEAR FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE/HAD/TRIED TO PUT 20'S ON THEIR MAXIMA.

If you don't want to roll your fenders then the chances are that you can't drop your car very much. Another thing if you are gonna drop your car, there probably isn't a 20 inch rim that will come in a narrower width size than they usually come in which is around 8.5" minimum...maybe 8", I haven't seen a 20x8 rim though.

You will have to get 245/35 to fit in the front.

Not true...I had 20 x 8.5 inch Lexani Krystals, with a 255/35/20 setup front and back. The front will rub only when you cut the wheel all the way to the right or left (i.e. making a U-Turn), but if you go slow when cutting the wheel, it does not effect the tires or the rim. I had 20's on my car for about a year, and I never had uneven tread wear or bent rims as a result of the minor rubbing. I was able to lower my car 1.25" without a problem. If you go much lower than that, you're going to run into a problem with the wheel hitting the fender. If you need any other info on this subject, the guy who sold me my 18's and then my 20's is very knowledgeable on this subject, you might want to drop him an email (he has great prices too, and NO, I do not work for him, lol). His email is EuroTrenzKarl@aol.com. Good luck, and welcome to the dub club.
