Yeah , you're probably right, but I'll tell you what, those carbon fiber altezzas are starting to grow on me. They might look good on my black 98. What do u think?

I am cool *****...

Anyway, I have the lenses primed and taped. I used 3M autobody tape. It has good flex and I didn't have to play with tracing crap. I just laid the tape out to the corners of the round lenses...

I am waiting for the paint from paintscratch... takes forever.

JoesMax is right, vinyl is easier to apply to the lights and lasts just as long as paint. His tails were great. As a matter of fact, I tried to get some vinyl for myself through him but it would have been a good hassle. Doing it the paint method is an easier DIY project. Getting it done the vinyl way is hard to come by in terms of places to get it done.
But anyway, u said u didn't do it with the cardboard, the way i was telling u ? from the way u said it, it seemed like u were using the tape as the template to paint on. But make sure the paint don't go through that tape , cuz then ur skyline a**es will be just that, some a**. not to mention a waste of ur money.

It won't go through the tape. The primer was applied with 4 Very very light coats (especially around the tape area). The primer is dry and the paint will layer on top. It should come out fine. My friend gave me the tape. It's a 3M heavy duty autobody tape. You can only get it through a bodyshop.

That's how bodyshops paint cars...

No need to get into a bind I know how long vinyl will last. The vinyl shops in Boston SUCK!!!. I have access to get to LI but it's way too out of the way for me. I'm in NY at least 5 days a week but I would have no time to go out there...

The vinyl looks very, very, good but I just want to paint them, that's all...

its all good.. i was going to start something where i would have people send me their altezzas and i would have it done and send it back to them, but it would probably be too much of a hassle
