Throttle Problems...
Folks,
Does anyone else have this symptom? If you are going about 5 MPH and you hit the throttle, on most cars the car will accelerate evenly without much "jerking". However, on my 95SE, whenever I hit the throttle, the car jerks momentarily, fairly violently. It is as if you cannot press the accelerator without having the car jerk forward. If you do it a couple of times in a row, the car will be bumping forward down the road.
Any way to lessen this problem or correct it? Is this a product of the clutch being bad? Throttle needing adjustment? Ideas?
Thanx!

Check your air filter and clean your throttle body out - see www.motorvate.ca for instructions. That will smooth it out a bit.
Also keep in mind you've got a few ponys under the hood. 1st gear can be snappy, and if your foot isn't steady on the pedal, there's your jerking. I've got a 1200cc motorcycle, tons of torque, wanna talk about a jerky 1st gear, especially from 5MPH without a slip of the clutch.
