hey, i had posted a question about water getting in my trunk. i would like to thank the ppl who took the time to respond. i went to a nissan dealer today and they said that water was leaking into the trunk because i need a new WEATHERSTRIP. I LEFT THERE IN A hurry because they said it would take 150 bucks to fix everything and i forgot to ask them what exactly it was. is this the rubber thingy that goes around the trunk when you open it or is it something else? right now i think it is the rubber thing so i am confused because it does not look broken or anything. is it possible for there to be something wrong with it but it cant be seen with the naked eye? also is 150 parts/labor an ok price to pay to fix something like this. thanks a lot.

Have you tried closing the trunk to trap a sheet of paper between the lid and the seal? Open/close the trunk as you move the paper around the perimeter of the trunk to see if it is gripped all the way around. If the weatherstrip seal doesn't grip the paper very well, that could be true. If the seal grips the paper snugly all the way around, I don't think it could be the seal... Didn't they try that already?
