Dimond-Back Headlights

This might be a stupid question but I own a '95 Maxima GXE and it has the stock headlights now. I am curious since the body styles didn't change for awhile if I can put say a 1998 Maxima headlight conversion? Will they jsut replace the stock headlights or will I have to drill some new holes?

I'm pretty sure they bolt right up. There brighter then your year. Something about the glass or the reflector inside. 97 - 99 Were the good ones. I think there is a web site....can't remember the name, they sell aftermarket assemblies for our cars. Cheaper then OEM and same quality. Try using the search on here or perhaps another member will post that web site for you.

First off, yes I believe you can switch headlights ranging from 1995 to 1999, but someone else should verify this. Secondly, your subject said Diamond Backed Headlights, are the 1997-1999 headlights better then those of the 1995-1996 ones? anyone?

The '97-'99 has a clear plastic/acrylic cover. It looks better.
The '95-'96 has a patterned glass cover.

The debate on which is more effective has gone on forever do a quick search I'm sure it'll pop up. Conclusions reached are that they both have about the same efficiency, but the look '97-'99 is better but then again the '95-'96 is a glass covering...

Headlights

I'm actually not too worried about the performance of the lighting although brighter is better. I am hoping that the '97-99 acrylic lenses will look better with the dimond-cut bumper lenses. We'll see though.

If anyone knows a a aftermarket website to purchase these newer/better headlights that would be awesome. Appreciate the help!
