I recently moved up from a 93 SE to a 97 SE 5sp and I was wondering how much power I should be losing from a bad Bpipe. It's detached itself from the flange where it meets up with the muffler. So basicly the muffler is useless at this point.

The reason why I'm asking this is because I raced my friend's 96 GXE 5sp and lost by a good 4 - 5 car lengths up to 100. Seems to me that this is a considerable loss when considering both cars are stock vs stock.

And yes I will get it fixed soon...

 

You can't run with an open pipe like that. Thats why your seeing the loss of power. Fix your exhaust system and the power will come back.
