Maxima Vs. Integra GSR! Who Will WIN???

My friend has a black stock integra GSR. He didnt do anything to it.
Would my 95 Maxima Beat him? Im not sure what model i have.

Should I race him?
Will it be an embarrassment?

Both stock? Straight line = whoever can drive better.

Turns? Again whoever can drive better but the GSR is a MUCH better handling car stock than a maxima or even a slighly modded one.

- yeah, really!
theres a lotta posts about GSr vs max.. wow. and i ALWAYS post. geez. my friends 00' 5 speed with injen intake, zigen catback vs my 5speed stock max 1998. it was DEAD and i mean DEAD even til he started pulling in about mid 3rd gear.
MY GUESS: vtec works hard , and the maxima with stock restrictive exhaust flow cant put out the big time high rpm power

but ANYWAY.

He said black GSR, now if your friend had a White one, you will be able to take him... Ok, back to the topic, stock for stock a 95 GSR will give a 5speed MAX a workout and it will depend on the driver. I think 96 and 97 is a little heavier, so you will have a better chance. 98 and up GSRs are the heaviest and slowest, close to 16 sec 1/4 mile time, so even an auto max can make little johnny with his brand new GSR his mom bought him with Type R stickers all over feel bad . Race him and find out...Take Care JsL

Don't feel bad, the Boxster S is a fast car and runs 14 flat. It's like loosing to a M Roadster or M5, those things are crazy fast.

It is very sad to know the facts. I have an auto, and he as a manual. I will play it off, and will never race GSR "EVER" again =(

race him anyways...If you do loose, it won't be by a lot. What does he have to brag about for beating a four door sedan? The fact that a four door sedan kept up with him should make him feel bad. A lotta ppl underestimate the MAX, they don't fully understand the power of the VQ30 until they see it. BTW 95 MAXs are the lightest and fastest, thats if your engine is still in good shape and has compression. Tell us how it goes...OK? JsL

You don't know what model of MAX you have?

How can you post to this forum and not know that?

alright stock gsr 15.2 or 3 at best(thats what my buddy did and hes an awesome driver)...i drove stock '98 SE 5spd to 15.0...so stock for stock max wins when stick... you have auto...you lose

also the stock lateral G's for the two cars are closer than you might think.... .84g for the gs-r, .83 for the max...i read those G numbers in the same magazine

the white ones are older cuz they first came out only in white. The other two is at least a 99 or 2g. those things are quick (lighter than the gsr/ I have a 5 spd and they gave me a lot of trouble. I ended up losing (but not by much) cuz I had my buddy in the car and sh*t in my trunk (my unistall springs/ agx's) bad idea
just race and see
get a y-pipe and intake and say u are stock and race him

ITRs run low 14s consistently. If an integra has 5 lugs, its a type R, UNLESS sum smarta$$ decided to buy a gsr and buy 4 type r axles and 4 type r rims...I live in frisco and ive seen that stuff b4. Man, i wish i had 5spd, 15 flat stock

A couple of months ago I ran into some punk@ss in a GSR on the highway that was swerving in and out of traffic, cutting people off, etc. Anyways, he tried to pull some of his shia on me but I laid the smack down. We both came to a clearing in traffic and I put about 1-2 cars on him from 60-90 and then I had to shut it down for traffic.

GS-R's are fast. You can take him if you have a 5spd, but if you're autotragic I think your only hope is lots of mods or a poor GS-R driver.

I'm completely stock, BTW.

I love this car

i was keeping up and barely passing a 92 GSR black and he was 5 speed with intake and exhaust compared to my worst than stock auto due to the heavy 18" chrome rims....so just snatching off rims alone i'll beat him, not to mention what would happen if i had intake and 5 speed....and if 96 and up is supposed to be heavier according to what someone posted on first page, you should have no problem beating him.....well, be ABLE to atleast

Type Rs do not run low 14s consistently....if driven well possibly 14.5 but thats it...and MOST people have trouble driving them well...most ive seen run 15s...its horrible ...but tru..

also first year of GS-R was '94 in the newest body style integra
