Auto tranny leaking....

I noticed that my auto tranny fluid is leaking from the front driver's side wheel well. =(.. It did not look too bad, but it's definitely leaking slightly.....anybody had this problem before?

I will have the tranny fluid flushed this summer (almost 25k), and perhaps I could get some fix before that.

Mine is leaking too. Let me know if you find the problem. I'm taking the car in to have it looked at and possibly have a tranny cooler installed. So I will let you know then what is leaking when I have my guy do the other work. BTW I hate the smell of tranny fluid!!

The wheel well? There is no tranny fluid in the wheel well area. If indeed it's tranny fluid, then it's the shaft seal and the fluid is running down the drive shaft thats leaking and "appearing" in the wheel well area.

Get under your car and take a good look at the tranny where the drive shafts go into it. I'm sure you'll see one of them leaking.

There is........

....a tranny component next to front driver's side wheel well: it's the tranny itself!

Perhaps I was being vaque, what I refer to "wheel well" was not the area where the strut mounts or the ones attached to the mud flaps, but I was talking the are where the tranny unit was "hiding" behind. It's the area where if you take out 4 (or 3?) small attachments, you will see the tranny unit.

Hei.... let me know how's your diagnostic went out. I suspect a gasket leak somewhere, but I have to pinpoint the problem (while I am doing my brake in the next hour or so).

Last fall my engine oil pressure sensor went beserk, this time is the tranny oil. Man.... whenever we get a "change-season" season, my Max is "bleeding"....
