4th Gen Variable intake in Taiwan

Hi

I am in Taiwan on business and found that the variable intake for the 4th gen is available here on the Cefiros. In Taiwan this is one of the commonest cars on the road since they are manufactured domestically. I am wondering if I can get used ones here since the cars are so common and people drive like maniacs here.

I popped the hood of a supplier's car today and he had a variable intake. It is a V6 3.0 L. Also wonder how much they would be new.

Great!

The more sources we can come up with for this thing, the better. That way people don't have to worry about scrambling for money right away. See what you can find out in the way of prices and availability if you can.

Re: Great!

Dayemmm! My parents just left on a trip there today! Too bad they know diddly about cars... Too bad they wouldn't go for lugging back a big hunk of steel... Too bad they think I already spend too much time and money on my car and would laugh their asses off if I asked them to look for one for me... heh heh.

LOL my parents always go to Taiwan, and they'd think the exact same thing bro.

The problem with the Cefiro 3.0L is that the plenums aren't the same shape. They are round, not oval. After discussing this with the NZ Guy (Rockie, nice guy), we found that the one he produced was actually a 3.0L, but it was from a cefiro, and was not the 2.5L.

Nonetheless, they looked exactly the same. Round ports...won't work.

But maybe in Taiwan it's different. Let us know if the plenum pipes are round or oval at the openings.

The ports should look like this:
