Chrome Gauge Rings Pictures

Here are pictures of the installed chrome gauge rings from Sycefiro and aluminum bezel from Shadow @ ap-signworks.com, installed on a tan cloth interior 97 SE. Levoc Auto shifter and e-Brake handle available from CustomMaxima.com. Cheap carbon fiber dash kit from eBay. Tell me what you guys think

The rings normally sit on the plastic cover. The aluminum bezel itself is the same shape and size, and covers the black plastic piece, so the rings go right over the aluminum bezel as well.

Hey thx for the compliments.. I just posted so that people will have easy access next time they search for pictures. I remember I was looking for pictures before and they were difficult to find on the org, even with the search feature. Hopefully it'll help. Anyways, I use a lot of armor all on the steering wheel to keep it shiny. Its kinda dangerous for the first hour after application because its so slippery, but after a while it goes away.

Leave a message with org user Sycefiro, he imports these. They cost $65 and I believe he may still have a couple left for sale. Better message him asap.

so, it was really easy to put the rings over the gauge bezel...they just fit right on there with no problems..didn't do anything special? cuzz i think the bezel itself just looks to plain..defitely need the rings.

You don't need to do a thing, just take em out and push them on. they have a gooey silicon on the inside of the rings that adheres to the bezel. Very simple and easy to do. The hardest part of the entire install is removing the nuts that hold up the steering column- and that wasn't even very difficult with the right tools.

im not a fan of having the aluminum bezel and white faced gauges all together. I had the same setup a while back and went back to the black bezel but with chrome rings, and that looks pricless!!

I like the chrome ring look on the black/black clusters of the GLE/GXE best. I just installed them on my 95 GLE.

What do you think would be worth it? Maybe $45? If so, now take that $20 and figure out how much it equates to the time spent either trying to find cheaper ones or simply not having rings at all. In the end, $20 isn't much... just do it. You'll be glad you did.

When you see the given glow from these rings at night, you will see they are worth every penny. Very nice.

I paid $60, shipping incl.

did that bezel come from custommaxima or from shadow? Is custommaxima the same as shadow's??

The bezel came from Shadow, but I believe Custommaxima sold those aluminum dash kits and bezels from Shadow, so they are the same in essence.

it looks like *** If you wanted a nice interior buy a german car. It really speaks for itself when the designer for General Motors rips out an interior from AUDI at a meeting and says "This is how you're supposed to do it"

Well, thats what I meant by glowing..

Does anyone have pictures of just the rings and no bezel? I wouldn't want the bezel, a little too much shiny..

Chrome Gauge Rings on Ebay

I bid on my chrome gauge rings on Ebay and was able to get them for $45.00 (plus $6.00 shipping). The real thing, solid chrome with the adhesive backing. I refused to pay $60-$65.00 for a set of rings, which doesn't include the shipping price. $51.00 is much more reasonable. Shop around, you'll find them like I did.

hard to install? not supposed to be...

one of the big ones was a bee-otch to get to stay in...
I ended up shaving some of the black bezel and re-gluing one ring.
looks f'ing sweet though...everyone loves 'em and compliments them.

I also changed my instrument cluster plastic...it was abour $45 (CDN)
at the dealer and looks way better than my old one. the old one had
swirl marks on it from years of cleaning and what not.

if it all fits easy, then this is easily under an hour to install.

hope it helps.
