Anyone bored with their Max?
Anyone bored with their Max?
Anyone bored with doing any maintenance on their Max? Last year was a bad year for my Max! Everything seemed to break down at once. I had to replace 4 sensors in all--knock sensor, EGR control solenoid, front right O2 sensor, and rear O2 sensor. Also, I had to replace both front CV joint boots, new brake pads for front and rear, fuel filter, throttle cleaning, and new emergency brake cable. It seemed like I couldn't go a month without doing some kind of maintenance on my car. Now, it seems like there's nothing to do on the car (except, for performance mods in which I'm saving up for). It runs fine, and it just seems boring without doing any actual maintenance on it.
It's not that I'm complaining or anything, but I was just wondering if anybody else had this same boredem.
It's fun working on the car, but when there is nothing to do on it, it just seems that you have to do "something". Right?

Re: Anyone bored with their Max?
Well Mixx, I definately hear ya' bro... I just got my Max last week and have owned a 3rd gen... I went back for a reason...
There weren't that many Max enthusiasts back then but you guys are enough to make me want to stay with Max's
boof'nhoohoo... Anyway, I think we all get bored with ANYTHING...
If you got a porsche, you would get bored of it (after a looooong time) but it's up to you in what you want.
I drove a f'in lease for the last 3 years and I appreciate owning a car so much more than I ever did.
I hear you but hang in there and look at your car in a good way...

i don't care what anyone says, there is ALWAYS ALWAYS something to do on the max to make it a little better...even if it's cleaning under the car, something....my car needs a lot of work but i'm either too busy or too lazy...and this new job put 100 miles on my car in one day...need an oil change now and thinking of going synthetic since it should last longer?

I remember the time when I got bored with my max, so I decided to order 2-tone leather seats and new suspension. My boredom went away and never came back.
