1] sorry to hear about your accident
2] FJC - not all adjusters are bad. I had an accident and the adjuster and the body shop were both excellent. When I first got the car back it wasn't 100% perfect and I called the adjuster - he had speced non-oem headlight replacement, but said no prob and had me bring the car back for oem parts. They also fixed some panel gaps I thought were too big. USAA insurance is great company.
3] 2Drunk is right - you could easily have frame damage and only the AB shop can really tell you. And yes, you should have the adjuster look at it at the shop when it is taken apart so they can see all the damage. My AB shop doucmented every problem and the fixes along the way with digital photos so there were no arguments.
4] Don't understand your only getting one airbag to save money... You (or your parents) pay a premium probably every 6 months. If you have an accident, then the insurance co has to pay whatever it takes to fix it back to the condition it was in b4 the accident. You don't save money - or spend it (other than your deductible of course).

Whatever - good luck. Hope it's not totaled.
keep us posted.

If your engine shifted, your car is junk. It will never be the same...

It will never be the same but they can fix it and it will look and drive just the same.

yeah, well

What I hate is having the fu King accident in the first place.
And I don't know what's worse:
- when it's all my own stupid-az fault
- or when it some other idiot (and you can't kill them)

also:
Freddy - Freddy / Boston, Massachusetts (Lynn) / fjc75@attbi.com

or

FJC - Freddy / Boston, Massachusetts (Lynn) / fjc75@attbi.com

or do you post using both Freddy and FJC?

And what's with Ron - the hedgehog - Jeremy?
When he turns up in a movie, I just go limp.

UPDATE - The insurance agent is coming today....he totaled the car it looks like I"m gonna get around $9000 which makes a profit of about $4500.....so I'm gonna try looking for a 96 SE for about 6000 (my father is in the auto business) and then hopefully put some mods in it once again....so if I have 3000 here is the break down of my planned spending
1.Tints (once again) $160-170
2.Reinstall my stereo (it's a ***** so I pay for it)$200
3.CAI 150-175
So that leaves me with about around some money to play with....also the agent said I prolly couldn't take anything off the car...which sux cuz my system is in there....but with that money I can hook my **** up....so ne suggestions on mods I could get......I was thinking 18 inch chromes wit a Stillen front lip and go sarona on the rest......ne good suggestions fellas????

Take your stuff out of the car. Screw him. Where is the car now? If it's at the autobody place then go there with the tools you need. Rip out your stuff. And give the autobody guy 100 bucks if need be to "make sure you were never there"
