I think it's my shoe strings tripping the knot sensor in my car.
The knock sensor is used to vary the ignition timing in an effort to prevent engine knock. Replacing it may make the car seem more powerful or do nothing. IF you repeatedly get the code then replace it. Most shop manuals tell you to remove the intake manifold but myself, and several other people have been able to do it w/o removing the intake. It is easier on a 95 but can be removed on all 4th gens w/o removing the intake. The knock sensor is located in the valley between the two banks of cylinders. It's in the middle of no where. I'd recommend you get a Haynes manual, and try the install yourself. Also, do a search on "knock sensor". Good luck.

That's Knot Censor. A knot censor is activated when an unsafe knot is being used. (i.e. two overhand knots to join two ropes rather than a proper double fisherman's knot)

Check your ropes and/or jumper cables.

I am not getting an error message for the knock sensor. But when my car is shifting ( Auto trand ) between gears, I hear pinging for about 1 second. Especially if the A/C is on. I alos hear it when going up a hill. Does this mean I have to change my knock sensor?
