I have a 98 max gxe,and it has 45k.The power steering blow a seal. Nissan is telling me that my warranty as expired.
Anyone having the same problem with there rack & pinion????

Well, your warranty is expired, so Nissan doesn't have to fix it anymore. Warranty is 3 years or 36k miles.

Did the dealer at least try to scam you by offering to fix your car for a ridiculously high price?

 

Go to Rising Sun. They rock. They fixed my nephew's '92 power steering for a really good price (no bullsh*t price gouging, no making up other problems to "fix"). Anyway, good luck.
