THis is got to be the most retardedest mod out there, but in any event i can help you.

Yes you can install it on a 5speed.

If you had a remote starter alarm installed, this will take car of the clutch action for you. ANd most remote starter alarms have built in negative trigger connection which when it gets a negative pulse will begin the starting sequcne.. All you need to do is install a simple push button to engage the alarms remote starter.

However, if you don't have the remote starter alarm installed, you are going to have to build a circuit that does the following.

Once you push the button, you must energize the clutch switch for the duration of the crank time, and then after apply a postiive charge to the starter wire. This should only be done when the igntion is on the on position.

Thus, the simplest route is to by pass the clutch switch and have it permenatly engaged. Then use the power wier thate is postiive when the ignition is in the on position, feed that through switch and then connect hte switch to the starter wire. I believe the maxima has two, so you may have to use both wires. But i see this as being sensely as the button just immitates turning the key to the start position.

There were a couple of us that were discussing doing this before Maxus last year. The best switch to use is the one from Honda for the S2000, and they're only like $50 or so. I'll have to do a search, but there were some instructions out there somewhere as I remmeber telling you how to do it. Best bet for the wiring diagram is a Haynes Manual for the maxima. Good luck, it would be a different mod from what most other Maxs have.

Hey, I highly recommend that you get your igntion working with the key.

Don't cheap out, you really need the steering column to get everything working properly especially to get at the proper power wires.

How are you starting the car now??

With a spoon! by the way everything is still there except for the selinoid with the tumbler and locking mechanism so all i do now is stick the back of the spoon in there and turn the thing it works for now but i want to comletely bypass the key so i dont need it at all except to unlock my doors after i turn the alarm off and if the power door locks dont work. and to open my trunk other than that i dont want a key to start the car period.

Just wondering if anyone has ever done this im in the process of doing it now but im having some trouble with it. Richard if you read this soon call me on my cell or at work im needing your help on this one. But any help form anyone would be good. What im trying to do is use two nitrous arming switches for the acc, and on position and then hit the start button and the car starts but i cant figure out how the wiring should go cause some of the wires have to be in more than one place at a time.

Help

This is the push button I put in my 96 I30....there's only one wire that has to go to the ignition with this kit...
