Power is about the same. Apexi is quietest, then Stillen, then Greddy. All will significantly increase volume, however. Just a hint for the future. Try the search function on the top right. Most any question you can think of has already been answered.

if you want quiet, then just keep the stock muffler, with the piping of the exhaust, and youll lose maybe .5 hp from it, but itll sound normal

With an exhaust you gain HP you don't lose HP.

When i was looking for an exhaust

If you are looking for an exhaust, you may want to find some other .org memebers in your area and try to hook up with them to hear their cars. Also, if you click on search you can find posts about all three and there are some audio files in different posts here which will allow you to hear some of them.

There is a lot fo opinions here on what people like so look around and you will be able to make a decision. I personally just went with a Stillen Catback and I realy like it.

Good luck

DL

It'll suck when people will tell you to do a search when your just looking for a straight-forward answer. questions like this doesn't take up too much typing to answer them. Apexi is the best because it is the least expensive, and the quietest. Greddy is somewhat the more expensive one and is a little louder than the Apexi but not as loud as the Stillen. If your planning on doing a y-pipe and cat-back exhaust, I recommend staying away from the Stillen and try to get the Apexi.

looking for muffler 2

I'm also in the market for a new muffler...mine is getting ready to rot out of the bottom of my car. I was looking at either stillen, HKS, or greddy. probably not the stillen because i've heard it was too loud. I wanted to know of the HKS and Greddy...which is bolt on and which one would you choose. They are both similar in price so I just wanted a straight answer

Thanks - Chad

Hmm, of the 2 mentioned, I don't think they make a bolt-on muffler, I do know that Greddy makes a cat-back, but the cheapest I found was $500 shipped, and that was a group deal. If you want the quietest exhaust with a lot of performance, follow this link (http://www.optauto.com/webstore/prod...=yes&dept=1404). you can get the Apexi cat-back for about $399, but depending on where you live, shipping costs are from $30-$55. I hope you decide on getting a cat-back and not try to piece the pipes together, those happen to be the more louder exhausts.

What material does apexi use for piping? I know Greddy is aluminized steel. I think both are somewhat pricey not being 304 Stainless. I think Jime got a very low cost completely stainless steel cat-back from Budget. Downside is you have to go there to get it custom made as they apparently do not have a standard shippable one as yet.

I think your right, but I truly don't know what the piping of the Apexi is.

When WSP put my Apex-i on, I think Dallas said he thought it was stainless, but it is painted (he thought that was lame).
