Aftermarket for Maxima?

One of my friends is about to buy a 97 Maxima GXE(6cyl 5spd) and since he doesn't know **** about cars i'll be the one working on it, so i was wondering what aftermarket companies exist for the Maxima. I drive an Accord and companies like AEM and Greddy don't seem to make anything for the Maxima so if you could name a couple of companies that make parts such as , I/H/E/P body kits, FI, ignition ect ect ect it would be greatly appreciated. Also what online stores that have good reps and carry those parts are out there?

Thanks alot

Aftermarket Mods

Hey man,

Sounds like your friend should research before making big plans. Lucky to have you as a friend I bet. Anyways, go to:

CustomMaxima.com
-OR-
Stillen.com

These 2 sites probably offer the best prices and mods available for the Maxima. Good luck and race on!

Good starting points. . .

The Stillen stuff is great, but best bought used in the For Sale Forum. I just picked up a Stillen RASB (or "RSB") for $130 plus shipping & all it needed was replacement mounting hardware, which I got at a local hardware store for $13. The RASB sells new thru Stillen for like $260-something.

PS: Just installed it & drove for the 1st time today. One word - WOW. . .

PPS: For more info. on companies that offer aftermarket support as well as other invaluable info., be sure to visit: https://maxima.org/maxfaqs/index.shtml

Unlike an Accord you don't have to swap to a H22 for power of be stuck with an Automatic in a 6cyl.

To make a Maxima kill a Accord all you need is a Greddy or other Exhaust, a good intake and a y pipe. Then it is Honda Hunting. JWT ECU and walla!
