and i think u should have used the brake quiet thing on the shims...i think they work

I bought it from PepBoys. I think it was $60-$70, forgot the exact amount. I think these are real good if you don't want much brake dusts. I have the stock 15" SE wheels, so I don't really care.

iregula's right! Just get original nissan pads. I've had that problem for 6 months too when I replaced them with aftermarket. I reverted back to nissan's original and they stopped.

From an earlier post: Permatex Disc Brake Quiet. And FYI, I wouldn't put any type of "grease" on my pads, not even on the back. Disc Brake Quiet is not a grease, but a sticky substance that dries. Cheap but effective.

I tried the disc brake quiet, grease, and new shims and hardware with OE pads and it didn't help all that much. I changed to Akebnono PRO-ACT pads, which are essentially the same as the Raybestos quietstops - both are ceramic blends - and the braking is smooth, quiet, and at least as strong as the OE pads. The downside is that they are not cheap.

Change your rotors and pads yourself...

I had the same problem with my brakes and I got fed up with paying all this money and having the same problem. Don't ever go to Midas or Mineke. They sell you the cheapest grade rotors and pads so you will bring your car right back to them. The best thing to do if you have the time is to do it yourself. I did mine on Sunday, it took me about 4 hours, but I only paid $90 for rotors and the top of the line pads. The pads are Bendix IQ for import cars. It's a no sqeaking pad and its works perfectly. THere are alot of things you can replace on the Max yourself, all you need is common sense.

if you have slotted or c-d rotors, the OEM pads will get eaten up pretty fast, as a warning. I have EBC Greens, and they're kinda squeeky until they get warmed up (which I usually tend not to do anyway, so yeah...they squeek a bit). Stuff you have to live with. Metal on metal = squeek. I may switch back to OEM pads anyway...not sure. The stopping power of my car is pretty amazing though.

the Akebono pads are about the same price as Axxis or EBC pads
