exhaust resonator?

I heard people take off their resonator for their exhaust. I kinda want to do this becuase its cheap. Does it make a big noise diffrence. How you guys like it. Deep or high tone? Thanks

It should make the exhaust slightly louder and deeper. If you go with a full B pipe you will also get a small hourspower gain or you can have a muffler shop replace the resonator with a straight pipe for very little money. thicknes has a couple of sound clips of her 5th gen (2k1) with stock exhaust, no resonator and a couple of links to threads in the 5th gen fourum discussing this.

I have a Warpspeed B-pipe fix w/resonator on order, but I may change it to a full no resonator B-pipe. I had better make up my mind quick though.
