Bought in December. Idiot kid nailed me head on. In shop for new front end and paint job

Check engine light came on, 3 codes for EVAP cannister, EVAP sensor and O2 sensor. All covered under a recall notice

My dad was the original owner of the car. He was going to trade it in and the dealership offered him dirt because it did need some body work, so I threw a few thousand at him for it and he took it. He said he's never had any other problems with it other than regular maintenance, and he was very consistant with his maintenance. Whenever it needed something it got it. Overall its in great shape now and I love it......

1. Crankshaft position sensor
2. Fog light lenses cracked
3. Passenger side window switch (door light doesn't work)
4. Battery (son played w/remote and popped trunk open. Light stayed on for a week killing battery for good)
Overall benn very happy, so far.

VTC bad front head - 30,000
VTC bad rear head - 43,000
Wheels replaced - Clear Coat peeling - 45,000
VTC bad front head - 60,000
Nissan covered all above under warranty after a lot of complaining to Nissan direct. Dealer was a big help also...

Muffler - 80,000
Fourth Gen 1996 GXE Auto = 90,000 miles

O2 sensor about 8k (warranty)
IAC valve at 40k (extended warranty)
CD player on Bose head unit craps out at 35k
starter at 55K
power window motor and regulater at 65K
Otherwise, great car!

'97 SE Auto - 92,500 miles
Other than expected wear items (belts, pads, etc), the only thing I've had to replace is the stock CD player, which crapped out at 72,000 miles. Replaced it with a 6-disc in-the-dash Nissan changer--SWEET!! This car has been great. I haven't even had to change a single light bulb anywhere (now I've jinxed myself!).

my car has 130k.. I bought it with 90k, about 18mo ago.. i've gotten my money's worth - you'll think im stupid, but what i do to this thing, it is reliable 
umm i cant even remember what all i've replaced..
tranny, twice... 1 auto, and 1 5spd.
6 clutches... DO NOT ASK OR SAY THE 5SPD CONVERSION IS BAD>.. ( I am currently in a lawsuit with the company who put in my clutches b/c they F'd my tranny, it was the biggest joke of my life... I WILL NEVER HAVE MY STUFF INSTALLED FOR ME AGAIN, !!! this had NOTHING to do with the conversion, it was all to do with a flywheel that was shaved too far (lightened...3 times) and 2 defective clutches, a used clutch, two offbrand clutches, and now I am on a good one finally that works!!! once again, this had NOTHING to do with the conversion... so don't get scared )

Replaced reverse switch on tranny at 78000 -- Leaking
Replaced clutch at 88000 -- The track killed it
Replaced clip on coolant hose behind intake manifold at 97000 -- Leaking after VI install

1)new cv joints required
2)alt dieing(previous owner was running high power sound system)
3)rear doors are hard/stiff while oppening and closing
Various wear and tear include
1)all fluids need changing
2)New spark plugs
3)New brake rotors and pads (waiting for performance rotors pads)
Max still runs great and i never regret buying it till i see someone in a 1.8t gti pull next to me.
or the grand am gt my moms wanted me to get

never fixed a damn thing
did replace the air and fuel filters, as well as plugs and changed the belts.. but that's all maintenance..

'99 SE-Limited...Passenger window likes to come off track, waiting for a warmer day to take a look. Also hood struts went out.
Other than that I only have a problem doing the speed limit...it always seems like I'm going slower.lol

Reg. Maintains:
motor oil every 5K
tranny fluid every 30-40K
air filter every 20-30K
brakes as needed
all four rotors
Other (after 85K):
1 or 2 O2 Sensors

4 struts
belts @ 145K
160K TOTALED, but i must say the car was strong and needed nothing.
