Place Racing CAI, AEM Underdrive Pulleys, RSTB, teenage cash flow is a little low...

Engine light went away for a while but now its back. That's the only problem I've had so far, haven't had the car too long though.

Heater core, starter, all o2 sensors, cv boots on axels, leaky seal between engine and timing case that resulted in my buying a new engine!

Mine:
99SE (currently 60K miles)
Just brake pads at 50K

Wife:
96GXE (currently ~150K miles)
O2 sensor at ~80K

The great thing is, hers is as solid as mine at 3 years older and 3X the mileage. These things do hold up well. I'll drive it til the wheels fall off, then get new wheels .

'98 SE w/ Auto tranny

approaching 85.5K,

- recently replaced the alternator c/o the infamous alternator recall affecting '97 & '98 Max's

still runs good but she's getting "sick"

- now takes 5 tries to get 'er running
- prediction of O2 & knock sensors about to go
- hesitation up the a$$

Other than that, needs the following maintenace items done..
- Tune up
- Fuel Induction
- Cooling Systen flush (thorough)
- Auto tranny flush (thorough)
- 4 new tires (will consider the dunlops if the car is mine again)

99SE 5 speed...
- air bag light flashing at 16K miles, dealer replaced airbag module in driver's seat, said there was a TSB on it
- heater fan ticking noise, replaced once under warranty at 20K miles, started ticking again at 40K - stuffed some foam around the blower for now to make it liveable...
- Clutch makes strange 'moaning' sound sometimes when engaging - dealer replaced throwout bearing under warranty at 18K miles, noise came back shortly thereafter - I see here that this is a 'common' problem, decided to live with it...
- Bose CD player would not eject CD at 15K miles - dealer replaced head unit under warranty
- Recent problem (at 52K miles) with erratic idle speed - replaced IACV and cleaned TB, somewhat better, but still not like it was.... May need more tinkering and adjusting, if this damn cold weather in NY ever stops...

Other than that, normal stuff like filters, tires and brakes (rears only do far).... Due for 60K service soon, I plan to do the plugs and belts myself, and have the radiator fluid flushed and replaced... Overall a damn fine automobile in my opinion. And this forum is awesome!
