clunking sound from addco?

Just installed it. Im hearing this clunking sound when i go over bumps. What is it from? One of the square ubolts couldnt go into the flat bracket so I just didnt put the bracket on. Is that the cause?

My friend had the same problem:

1. Right after install, pulled out of the driveway and CLUNK/CLUNK.

2. Drove around...Better handling but bumps on road equaled CLUNK

His FIX: Took it off and remounted the sway bar ends...]...down further towards the back of the car. The Mounting points, further down allowed Height travel (during bumps) because they were now "sort of" in the wheel well area. Quiet and solid..I ended up buying the STILLEN one from Kenny.

You need to make sure the "U" brackets on the axle beam are positioned as far to the outside as possable to keep them from hitting and being bent when the suspension travels upward. Take a close look at the corners of the brackets to make sure they are not scratched. There were a few posts with pictures about this a few months ago so if you search you may be able to find them.

The flat brackets you deleted are very important. They back-up the bushings and hold them in the proper place. Not using them will greatly shorten their life. You may need to switch the flat brackets from the big "U" bolts. When I tried to install my bar the first time They wouldnt fit until I tried this swap. Fit perfect.

Make sure your RSB doesn't look like this:

The bracket of the RSB might be hitting your rear suspension.

Another thing to look for is on the side brackets. Make sure the side brackets are not touching the cylinder-shaped thing (don't know exactly what they are).

That might be another thing to look for if you're hearing clunking.
