I just received mine yesterday but the price is now about $118 shipped... It came with the 2nd Gen install kit... I don't think I need it though... else it was priced at $105.

The walbro unit is a high flow replacement for your stock fuel pump. the unit that comes w/ the SC, is an inline supplemental pump. Some feel that since they have xxxxx miles on their maxima, why not just replace and upgrade their stock oem fuel pump with a high flow unit?

I was planning on removing the noisy inline pump and just replacing it with the Walbro 255lph HP version. I can't stand the surging when the inline unit kicks in/out or the noise when it is running full time.

Do you have to remove the drop resistor for the inline tank or can you keep it?

Thanks for answering my question.

- good point above if the stock pump goes at least the Vortech one will get me home.
