Final questions before ordering...

the budget y pipe...ive searched and searched and cant find an answer to all my questions....well here goes

1) I hear about a hissing sound after owning it for a month or so...is this true?
2) Should i go with warpspeed, or is budget the same for the much lesser price?
3) How much of a diff in 1/4 times and speeds?
4) Will an auto tranny mess up the HP gains?
5) how hard is the install, and is it easy to install (i can install intake, DIY intake, muffler tip)
6) Does it allow to pass inspection?
7) i hear something about knock sensor having to be replaced...whats that about?
8) thats it....thanks in advance

boy you didn't search very well, I'm a newbie and know most of those

1) I hear about a hissing sound after owning it for a month or so...is this true?
Happened with the 1st few budget pipes made but they fixed the problem and now there is no hissing

2) Should i go with warpspeed, or is budget the same for the much lesser price?
Pretty much, both offer stainless steel, similar performance & sound

3) How much of a diff in 1/4 times and speeds?
I heard about .7 seconds with this & intake

4) Will an auto tranny mess up the HP gains?
No, but you should have gotten a manual

5) how hard is the install, and is it easy to install (i can install intake, DIY intake, muffler tip)
Depends on the condition of your old Y pipe, if the bolts are all rusted you may have to heat them to get it off. Never done it myself so wouldn't really know.

6) Does it allow to pass inspection?
You shouldn't have problems with emissions if you let your car heat up good before taking the test

7) i hear something about knock sensor having to be replaced...whats that about?
????

8) thats it....thanks in advance

Nice reply JR. For your question about the knock sensor - NO you don't have to replace that when you get a y pipe. Look here http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?threadid=104931 to find out how to check if your knock sensor is bad. Otherwise get the y pipe and enjoy it.

Jamsan I went from a 16.3 with my auto to 15.4 after doing the intake, y-pipe and b-pipe.
I don't think anyone has ever proven they have gained any power from a Budget vs Warpspeed.
Putting the new Y-Pipe on is a breeze, getting the old one off can be a bit of a chore depending on how old your car is and how rusted the nuts are.
Can't beat the Budget pipe for the money.
